Disclosure Checklist is an enterprise financial reporting platform used by accounting and audit professionals to manage disclosure requirements across FASB, GASB, SEC, AICPA, and IASB standards. A firm tailors a checklist to the entity it's reporting on, works through the requirements that apply, and documents its answers.
The product already existed. This was a redesign of an aging application, with the goal of an experience that could hold thousands of requirements and content that changes every time a standard does.
- My Role
I joined after another designer had started the checklist tailoring wizard and rolled off. As the sole UX designer I picked up that work and owned the rest of the MVP: the dashboard, navigation, the checklist itself, the CMS, and accessibility across all of it. I worked with a product owner, two business analysts, two subject matter experts, and the engineering team.
My responsibilities included redesigning the dashboard, navigation, checklist workflow, tailoring improvements, and new CMS capability, while also ensuring consistency with the existing design system, improving accessibility, and shaping the overall UX strategy.
